1. As you watch the video, take notes so that you can more closely examine how the ideas were developing during the conversation. 
2. Watch the video.  Pause the video to take notes on the thinking of Carlos, Amalia, Manuel and Coleman.
3. After you watch the video, reflect on how each of the students is thinking about how you would figure out 9+9 if you already know that 9+8=17.
